2016 March Madness: Final Four Opening Odds

2016 March Madness Final Four consists of #10 Syracuse vs. #1 North Carolina and #2 Villanova vs. #2 Oklahoma. Syracuse is by far the biggest surprise us all. This is the first time ever that a #10 seed has reached the Final Four in March Madness history.

#2 Villanova vs. #2 Oklahoma

This game opened Saturday night with Villanova -1. But the line has moved to Villanova -2.5 since then. In terms of the total, this game opened 150 but has dropped all the way to 146. Public trends show close to 60% backing up Oklahoma spread.

#10-Syracuse vs. #1-North Carolina

This game was just opened late Sunday night with North Carolina -10. But many books dropped the line to North Carolina -9 despite the equal money placed on both sides. These opening odds came as a surprise since the only spread in the Final Four higher than Syracuse +9 was back in 2013 when Wichita St was +9.5 vs. Louisville. The total for the game opened at 147 but dropped to 145 following majority of bettors backing under.

Here’s a look at the current and preseason odds for each school to win the tournament. Syracuse was even as high as +10000 in some books to win the title back in early January.

North Carolina +108 | +900

Villanova +255 | +2500

Oklahoma +355 | +3750

Syracuse +1300 | +8500
